Winnebago+Trail

Originally part of the Green Lake Conference Center, this property consists of southern oak forest and remnant prairie along the north shore of Green Lake. A former Native American trail follows the elevated shoreline and is accessible from the trailhead near the historic Lawson water tower on Hillside Road.

Public access: The eastern end of the trail terminates near the large stone arch beneath Hillside Road, and one can either climb one of the stone walls to get back to the roadway, or continue a short distance up the trail to the GLCC’s missionary trail, and then take a quick right to get to the parking area.
